Cottonseed oil cake futures decline 2.04% on soft demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices declined Rs 70, or 2.04%, to Rs 3,367 per quintal in futures trading on Monday, weighed down by weak demand and selling pressure in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), cottonseed oil cake contracts for September delivery fell Rs 70 to Rs 3,367 per quintal, with an open interest of 42,710 lots.

Analysts said participants reduced their positions and resorted to selling at existing levels amid a subdued market trend, putting pressure on cottonseed oil cake futures.
