Zinc futures rise 1.1% to Rs 404.30 per kg on higher demand

Zinc prices climbed 1.1% to Rs 404.30 per kg in futures trading on Monday, supported by increased buying interest from market participants and firm demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for September delivery advanced Rs 4.40, or 1.1%, to Rs 404.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 654 lots.

Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to stronger demand in the spot market, which encouraged participants to increase their positions.
