TVS Supply Chain Solutions, Japan’s Sankyu sign strategic MoU

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan-based logistics and engineering company Sankyu Inc. to explore growth opportunities across supply chain and engineering services.

The partnership will combine TVS SCS’s supply chain capabilities, market presence and customer network with Sankyu’s engineering expertise, logistics operations and strong relationships within Japan’s industrial ecosystem.

Under the agreement, the companies will explore a wider range of solutions covering logistics, warehousing, transportation, engineering services, maintenance and on-site industrial support.

Sankyu also plans to acquire a 0.5% equity stake in TVS SCS, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The initial focus of the collaboration will be India, where the companies aim to support manufacturing and industrial customers with integrated supply chain and engineering solutions. With more than 1,400 Japanese companies operating across India’s manufacturing and industrial sectors, the partnership sees significant potential to address their evolving requirements.

The companies plan to subsequently expand the collaboration across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, while also exploring other international markets where both have an established presence.

A joint steering committee comprising representatives from both companies will be formed to identify business opportunities, oversee strategic initiatives and develop integrated solutions for customers and stakeholders.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions Chairman R. Dinesh said the partnership would strengthen the company’s capabilities and help create greater value for manufacturing and industrial customers, while opening up new growth opportunities in India and other strategic markets.

Sankyu Inc President and CEO Kimihiro Nakamura said the partnership reflects strong strategic alignment between the two companies and would support collective growth in global markets while contributing to sustainable industrial development.
