Guar gum futures decline on weak demand, ample supplies

Guar gum futures prices fell Rs 20 to Rs 12,150 per quintal on Tuesday, tracking weakness in the spot market amid subdued demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery declined 0.16%, or Rs 20, to Rs 12,150 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,665 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to sluggish buying interest in the spot market, while adequate supplies from key growing regions further weighed on prices.
