The rupee declined 11 paise to close at 95.55 (provisional) against the US dollar on Thursday, weighed down by a stronger American currency and weakness in domestic equity markets.
Forex traders said the broad strength of the US dollar in overseas markets offset the support from easing crude oil prices.
