Aluminium futures rise on fresh positions, firm spot demand

Aluminium futures gained 20 paise to Rs 346.95 per kg in Wednesday’s trade, supported by fresh positions taken by speculators and positive trends in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for September delivery rose 0.06% to Rs 346.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 231 lots.

Analysts said fresh buying by traders, along with demand from consuming industries, supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
