Aluminium futures slip on weak demand

Aluminium futures declined marginally on Thursday, pressured by subdued demand in the spot market and traders reducing their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for September delivery fell 15 paise, or 0.04%, to Rs 347.45 per kg, with an open interest of 365 lots.

Analysts attributed the weakness to easing demand from consuming industries, which prompted market participants to trim their positions and weighed on aluminium prices.
