Aluminium futures edge higher on fresh buying

Aluminium futures prices rose 25 paise, or 0.07%, to Rs 345.85 per kg on Thursday, supported by fresh positions built by speculators amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for October delivery gained 25 paise to Rs 345.85 per kg, with 105 lots traded.

Market analysts said fresh buying by traders and steady demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
