Copper futures rise on firm spot demand

Copper futures rose Rs 1.80, or 0.13%, to Rs 1,417.50 per kg on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for October delivery gained Rs 1.80 to Rs 1,417.50 per kg, with 1,436 lots traded.

Market analysts attributed the rise to increased buying interest and higher bets by market participants, which supported copper prices in the futures market.
