Zinc futures rise 0.56% on firm spot demand

Zinc futures rose Rs 2.35, or 0.56%, to around Rs 419.20 per kg on Thursday, supported by higher demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for October delivery gained Rs 2.35 to Rs 419.20 per kg, with 543 lots changing hands.

Traders attributed the rise in zinc prices to increased demand from market participants and firm spot-market buying interest.
