Guar gum futures rose Rs 57, or 0.43%, to Rs 13,245 per quintal on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased buying by speculators.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for October delivery gained Rs 57 to Rs 13,245 per quintal, with an open interest of 65,900 lots.
Market analysts said firm physical-market demand encouraged traders to raise their positions, supporting guar gum prices in the futures market.
