GST collections rise 14.7% to over Rs 2.03 lakh crore in September

India’s gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 14.7% year-on-year to more than Rs 2.03 lakh crore in September, reflecting strong revenue growth during the month.

GST revenue from domestic transactions rose 10.1% to around Rs 1.38 lakh crore, while collections from imports jumped 26% to Rs 65,525 crore.

Meanwhile, GST refunds declined 3% year-on-year to Rs 27,001 crore in September, compared with the year-ago period.
