Zinc prices fell by Rs. 5.15, or 1.24%, to Rs. 409.20 per kg in futures trade on Friday, as traders reduced their positions amid weak spot market cues.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), November delivery contracts recorded a trading volume of 836 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market and position trimming by participants.
