Benchmark indices gained momentum after starting on a muted note amid buying in shares of Eternal, Adani Ports, Power Grid, Reliance Industries, M&M, and HDFC Bank.

At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81625.81 up by 627.56 points or by 0.77 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24843.25 up by 223.05 points or by 0.91 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81911.13 and intraday low of 80983.73 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24899.85 and intraday low of 24613.1
