Indian equities opened lower on Friday, ending a six-day winning streak. The cautious sentiment followed muted global cues as investors awaited US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium later in the day.
At 9:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81645.56 down by -355.15 points or by -0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25022.5 down by -61.25 points or by -0.24 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81993.61 and intraday low of 81578.17 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25084.85 and intraday low of 25020.85
