Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading flat on Friday, weighed by continued selling from foreign institutional investors (FIIs), even as global markets remained positive and sentiment was supported by the Reserve Bank of India’s dovish policy stance.

At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80967.57 down by -15.74 points or by -0.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24803.05 down by -33.25 points or by -0.13 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81056.57 and intraday low of 80649.57 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24855.7 and intraday low of 24747.55

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 173.95,+3.85%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 286.95,+2.21%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2097.20,+1.66%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1175.55,+1.39%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1884.60,+0.92%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15790.00,-1.13%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1402.45,-0.99%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1989.80,-0.90%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1622.20,-0.85%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12019.80,-0.82%), among others.
