Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended higher for the second day in a row on Friday, propelled by buying in metal stocks and a rally in global markets.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81207.17 up by 223.86 points or by 0.28 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24894.25 up by 57.95 points or by 0.23 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 81251.99 and intraday low of 80649.57 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24904.8 and intraday low of 24747.55

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 173.20,+3.40%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 289.60,+3.15%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1184.50,+2.16%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2100.90,+1.84%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3732.35,+1.69%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1400.75,-1.11%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15801.25,-1.06%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12015.95,-0.85%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1627.50,-0.53%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1365.00,-0.51%), among others.
