Post-Session: Stock markets end lower on foreign fund outflows, selling in blue-chips

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Tuesday after a day's breather, tracking unabated foreign fund outflows and selling in blue-chip stocks amid global tariff-related concerns.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83627.69 down by -250.48 points or by -0.3 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25732.3 down by -57.95 points or by -0.22 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84258.03 and intraday low of 83262.79 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25899.8 and intraday low of 25603.3

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 294.50,+3.24%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1613.05,+1.74%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1436.55,+1.66%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1028.45,+1.32%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3267.60,+0.99%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3888.05,-3.25%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1451.50,-2.14%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4759.10,-1.95%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16402.05,-1.13%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 334.65,-1.09%), among others.

IT index was at 36888.7 up by 202.52 points or by 0.55%. 63 Moons Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 693.05,+8.12%), D-Link (India) Ltd. (Rs. 410.50,+5.05%), Birlasoft Ltd. (Rs. 425.15,+2.79%), Onward Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 304.65,+2.16%), Ksolves India Ltd. (Rs. 281.95,+1.99%),.

CGS index was at 64611.74 down by -436.18 points or by -0.67%. Apar Industries Ltd. (Rs. 7650.00,-2.77%), Zen Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1236.90,-2.41%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 17102.35,-1.89%), AIA Engineering Ltd. (Rs. 3892.75,-1.72%), ABB India Ltd. (Rs. 4964.70,-1.66%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4503 , shares advanced were 2145 while 2149 shares declined and 209 were unchanged.
