Domestic equity benchmarks trim some gains but still trading above 83000 mark during the late noon trading session led by gains in index heavyweights, amid positive global cues. In the broader market, the BSE MidCap 150 index fell 0.5 per cent, while the SmallCap 250 was up 0.29 per cent.

Among key stocks, shares of Anil Agarwal-owned Vedanta Ltd today climbed 2% as the company has announced a fundraising plan. Baazar Style Retail shares rise 4% on opening of new stores.

Also, shares of Morepen Laboratories zoomed as much as 16 per cent on Monday after winning an international order worth ₹825 crore.

At 12:29 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83097.91 up by 283.2 points or by 0.34 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25669.95 up by 98.7 points or by 0.39 %.

The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 83486.15 and intraday low of 82906.83 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25771.45 and intraday low of 25626.50.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1548.40,+2.44%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 430.10,+2.08%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 303.25,+1.46%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1387.05,+1.37%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2344.85,+1.29%), among others.

While, Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1325.90,-1.98%), Kwality Wall's (India) Ltd. (Rs. 27.30,-1.59%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 265.80,-1.17%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1444.05,-0.90%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 437.40,-0.85%), among others were the top losers on BSE.
