Indian benchmarks continued to extend losses during the noon trading session tracking the weakness in the Asian markets. Among sectors IT index slips 3%, while PSU Bank indices up 0.5%. Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices down 0.4% each. Infosys, TCS, IDFC First Bank, Nippon Silver ETF, Eternal are among most active shares on the NSE.
Overseas, European stocks are seen opening on a mixed note Tuesday as investors weigh geopolitical tensions and trade policy shifts.
On the corporate front, Shares of textile companies Gokaldas Exports, Arvind, Trident and Pearl Global Industries fell up to 6 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day trade.
At 12:28 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82279.32 down by -1015.34 points or by -1.22 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25466.05 down by -246.95 points or by -0.96 %.
The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 83079.51 and intraday low of 82264.47 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25641.8 and intraday low of 25446.95.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1347.00,-6.57%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1338.65,-6.15%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1266.75,-4.64%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 255.80,-4.59%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2576.00,-3.73%), among others.
