The benchmark indices Nifty50 and Sensex extended losses for a second consecutive session, as investor sentiment remained cautious amid concerns that the ongoing blockade at the Strait of Hormuz could further exacerbate the global energy supply crisis.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77664 down by -852.49 points or by -1.09 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24173.05 down by -205.05 points or by -0.84 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78178.54 and intraday low of 77574.18 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24310.2 and intraday low of 24134.8
