The Nifty50 and Sensex traded within a narrow range as investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decision, which is scheduled to be announced on Friday.

At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74309.15 down by -37.02 points or by -0.05 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23430.65 up by 25.05 points or by 0.11 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 74544.24 and intraday low of 73807.3 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23462.3 and intraday low of 23247.3

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 254.55,+3.01%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4132.30,+1.12%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 280.00,+1.10%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 13174.85,+0.93%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1253.30,+0.88%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Trent Ltd. (Rs. 2779.20,-2.10%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1200.10,-1.81%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1165.00,-1.15%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 282.35,-0.98%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11008.95,-0.84%), among others.
