Indian benchmark indices witnessed a volatile trading session on June 5, with the Nifty 50 hovering around the 23,400 level as investors reacted to the RBI's monetary policy announcement and evolving global cues.

At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74235.99 down by -124.02 points or by -0.17 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23400.65 down by -15.9 points or by -0.07 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 74717.57 and intraday low of 74117.85 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23516.35 and intraday low of 23331.8

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 890.90,+1.95%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2110.50,+1.56%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1815.30,+1.39%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2693.10,+1.18%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1799.20,+1.12%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 204.80,-2.73%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 2769.15,-2.40%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1148.95,-1.67%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 360.65,-1.56%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2207.80,-1.42%), among others.
