Indian benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 traded lower as investors assessed the outcome of the latest monetary policy review by the Reserve Bank of India.
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) unanimously decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% while maintaining a neutral policy stance, citing heightened global uncertainties and risks arising from geopolitical tensions and commodity price volatility.
At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74299.61 down by -60.4 points or by -0.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23351.6 down by -64.95 points or by -0.28 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 74717.57 and intraday low of 73988.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23516.35 and intraday low of 23282.65
