Indian benchmark indices remained under pressure in afternoon trade on Friday, with the Sensex declining over 500 points and the Nifty50 hovering near the 24,550 level, amid continued broad-based selling across sectors.

At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 78433.72 down by -521.04 points or by -0.66 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24537.9 down by -98.1 points or by -0.4 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78757.4 and intraday low of 78396.17 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24630.4 and intraday low of 24522.75
