Indian benchmark indices remained under pressure in afternoon trade on Friday, with the Sensex declining over 500 points and the Nifty50 hovering near the 24,550 level, amid continued broad-based selling across sectors.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 78499.17 down by -455.59 points or by -0.58 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24570.65 down by -65.35 points or by -0.27 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78757.4 and intraday low of 78377.07 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24630.4 and intraday low of 24522.75
