The Nifty50 and Sensex opened lower on Thursday, tracking weakness in global equities as bond yields continued to rise, weighing on investor sentiment.

At 9:36 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72335.03 down by -303.67 points or by -0.42 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22516.8 down by -86.25 points or by -0.38 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 72693.97 and intraday low of 72254.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22599.05 and intraday low of 22514.5

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2123.70,+1.90%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1515.10,+1.75%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1008.10,+1.61%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1202.00,+1.54%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 2922.00,+1.18%), among others.
