Shares of Vijay Mallya led Kingfisher Airlines soared over 7 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange ahead of lenders meeting due today to chalk out future action to recapitalise the airline.
The key lenders led by the State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda are likely to ask Mallya to inject fund in the airline through equity capital route.
Continuing its gaining momentum, shares of the company started the day on positive note and witnessed a gain of as much 7.26 per cent to Rs 16.84 a piece on BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading at Rs 16.75, up 6.99 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 18,647.10, up 26.42 points or 0.12 per cent at 9:38 hours.
