REF spurts nearly 4% on proposal to hike urea prices

Buoyed by the news that fertiliser ministry will expedite proposal to hike urea prices, shares of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (REF) spurted nearly 4 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Cheering the news, shares of the company started the day on positive note and witnessed a gain of as much as 3.84 per cent to Rs 60.70 a piece on BSE.

In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading at Rs 60.50, up 3.60 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 18,684.53, up 52.36 points or 0.28 per cent at 10:10 hours.
