Riding high on the report that the Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications is all set to lower tariff in post-paid plans to lure the customers after recent hike in prepaid charges, shares of the company gained over 1 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company had hiked its mobile rates by 25 per cent last week to reduce the debt burden of the company.
Cheering the news, shares of the company started the day on positive note and witnessed a gain of as much as 1.18 per cent to Rs 63.95 a piece on BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading at Rs 63.85, up 1.03 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 18,647.10, up 26.42 points or 0.12 per cent at 9:38 hours.
