Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Inaugurates 16th ‘Jumbo’ Majumdar International Seminar

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, inaugurated the 16th edition of the ‘Jumbo’ Majumdar International Seminar, organized by the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), on 4 March 2025 at the Air Force Auditorium. The seminar, themed "Evolving Dynamics of Aerospace Power," began with welcome remarks by Air Vice Marshal Anil Golani (Retd), Director General of CAPS.

Held annually in honor of the late Wing Commander Karun Krishna Majumdar, a distinguished fighter pilot of pre-independence India, the seminar serves as a platform for discussions on emerging trends in aerospace power. This year’s event featured expert panels exploring topics such as Integrated Aerospace Management, leveraging space capabilities for air superiority, the role of drones and Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUMT) in future conflicts, the impact of electronic warfare and cyber operations on aerial combat, and the integration of emerging technologies with fifth-generation aircraft in the Indian Air Force.

The seminar brought together officials, researchers, and aviation enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, sparking discussions that engaged both young professionals and seasoned veterans. It reinforced the importance of advancing aerospace capabilities and set the stage for future collaborations in the domain.
