India's iron ore production increased by 4.3% to 289 million tonnes in the financial year 2024–25, up from 277 million tonnes in 2023–24, according to a statement from the Ministry of Mines.

The continued rise in output highlights strong demand from the steel industry, which remains the primary consumer of iron ore.
