The Reserve Bank of India has announced the redemption price for the premature redemption of Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2020–21 Series III, which is due on June 16, 2025. As per the Government of India notification dated April 13, 2020, premature redemption of SGBs is allowed after the completion of five years from the issue date, on interest payment dates. Accordingly, the upcoming redemption is scheduled for June 16, 2025.

The redemption price is determined based on the simple average of the closing gold prices (999 purity) over the previous three business days, as published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). For this tranche, the average price for June 11, 12, and 13, 2025, has been calculated at Rs 9,758 per unit.
