The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) on Tuesday announced a record monthly electricity trade volume of 12,664 million units (MU) in July, reflecting a 25.5% year-on-year growth.

Additionally, 16.26 lakh Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) were traded during the month, the exchange said in a statement.

The market clearing price in the Day-Ahead Market stood at Rs 4.18 per unit in July, representing a 16% decline compared to the same period last year.
