Travel booking platform EaseMyTrip on Friday announced that Prashant Pitti has stepped down as Managing Director with immediate effect, and Founder Nishant Pitti has assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), subject to shareholder approval.

Earlier this year, Nishant Pitti had resigned as CEO citing "personal reasons," with his brother and Co-Founder Rikant Pitti taking over as CEO.

In April, the company had clarified that it had no direct or indirect links with the Mahadev betting app or any other betting platform, following Enforcement Directorate searches at co-founder Nishant Pitti’s premises.
