Nazara Technologies Limited, one of India’s leading gaming companies, has announced the launch of the globally acclaimed PC title Bodycam within Fortnite. This marks the first-ever adaptation of Bodycam into the Fortnite ecosystem, where it will debut as a custom island, introducing its hyper-realistic tactical gameplay to a wider global audience.
Originally known for its photorealistic graphics and immersive combat mechanics on PC, Bodycam has gained a loyal fanbase among FPS gamers. With this launch, Nazara is reimagining the title for Fortnite using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), enhancing it with high-fidelity visuals, improved performance, and new sandbox possibilities.
“This is a landmark moment not only for Bodycam but also for the future of creator-led gaming—and it marks Nazara’s first launch on Fortnite,” said Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara Technologies. “With UEFN, Fortnite is rapidly evolving into a hub where creators, brands, and gamers converge. We are proud to introduce a premium PC franchise like Bodycam to this ecosystem.”
Developed in partnership with top UEFN creator Virstate and supported by Reissad Studio—the original creators of Bodycam—the Fortnite island will combine high-stakes tactical action with community-driven modes, optimized for console, PC, and mobile players worldwide.
“We believe this launch will inspire other leading gaming IPs to explore UEFN,” said Zakaria and Mahdi, founders of Virstate. “Our goal is to showcase the platform’s limitless potential through one of the most ambitious experiences ever built.”
Luca and Leo, founders of Reissad Studio, added: “Bodycam was designed to push the boundaries of realism in gaming. With UEFN, we’re excited to share that vision with millions of Fortnite players for free.”
Built on Unreal Engine 5.3, the Bodycam island will feature enhanced lighting, sound, and multiplayer balancing tailored for Fortnite. At launch, it will offer two multiplayer modes—Gun Game and Team Deathmatch—with creator-submitted maps to follow.
Nazara said this rollout aligns with its broader strategy to publish next-generation gaming IPs globally, leveraging Fortnite and other emerging platforms to scale both original and third-party titles.
