Dr Reddy’s Laboratories on Thursday announced that it has completed a definitive agreement with Johnson & Johnson to acquire the Stugeron brand across EMEA markets, with India and Vietnam being key territories.

Stugeron, which contains Cinnarizine, is an antihistamine used to treat vestibular disturbances and vertigo.

The acquisition provides a strategic opportunity for the Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company to strengthen its presence in the anti-vertigo segment and further enhance its Central Nervous System (CNS) portfolio, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories said in a statement.
