The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved JSW Paints Limited’s proposal to acquire up to 75% shareholding in Akzo Nobel India Limited through a share purchase agreement and a mandatory open offer.

JSW Paints, an unlisted public company under the JSW Group, manufactures and sells decorative paints and industrial coatings in India. Akzo Nobel India, a listed entity, is part of the Akzo Nobel Group and operates in the same segments.
