Chennai Petro. posts Q2 net profit of Rs 731.55 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 731.55 crore compared to net loss of Rs 629.49 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 65.75 per cent at Rs 20,033.62 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 12,086.54 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 48.02 per cent to Rs 18,889.13 crore from Rs 12,760.91 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 56.46 per cent at Rs 35.47 crore versus (Sep'24 Rs 22.67 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 269.71 per cent to Rs 1,144.49 crore as against Rs -674.37 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 202.33 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 34.53 per cent y-o-y to Rs 33.96 crore, while Taxation increased by 215.30 per cent at Rs 262.74 crore (Sep'24 Rs -227.88 crore).
