The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2025 in London from November 4–6 at Excel London, with a strong delegation of around 30 stakeholders, including State Tourism Boards, UT Administrations, inbound tour operators, and IRCTC. The objective is to highlight India’s rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism offerings, and immersive travel experiences to a global audience.
India’s representation covers a wide spectrum of tourism segments — culture, heritage, spirituality, adventure, wellness, nature, luxury, and rural experiences — supported by world-class hospitality and unique homestays. The participation underlines India’s focus on strengthening global tourism engagement and boosting foreign tourist arrivals.
Along with the tourism departments of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Chandigarh, and IRCTC at the India Pavilion, several other states — including Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh — are showcasing their distinct tourism attractions and engaging with international buyers and partners.
The India Pavilion was inaugurated on November 4 by officials from the Indian High Commission in the UK and the Ministry of Tourism, in the presence of Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Diya Kumari and tourism ministers from Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
India recorded 20.57 million international tourist arrivals in 2024, with the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada among the top source markets. The UK remains one of the strongest contributors to inbound tourism for India.
With global travel recovery gaining momentum, India’s presence at WTM 2025 aims to tap new opportunities, strengthen global partnerships, and accelerate tourism growth. As per the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index, India ranks 39th among 119 countries.
WTM 2025 brings together tourism leaders, buyers, and exhibitors from across the world, setting the stage for collaboration, business growth, and future travel trends — a platform India is leveraging to position itself as a leading global travel destination.
