ORSL bags International Research Grant for Global Circular Bioeconomy Project

Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has announced that its Research Innovation Centre (ORS-RIC) has received a prestigious international research grant for the project titled “Danish-Thai-Indian Circular Bioeconomy Network for Mango Waste Valorisation.” The initiative is led by the University of Southern Denmark, with key partners including top institutions in Thailand, IIT Mumbai, and ORSL as the core industrial collaborator.

The project has been awarded a framework grant of DKK 1,028,800 by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (DAHES) under the Global Innovation Network Programme (GINP). The collaboration will run from January 2026 to March 2027.

Strengthening Global Circular Bioeconomy Efforts

The initiative aims to advance technologies and business models that convert agricultural waste—particularly mango residues—into high-value bioproducts, bioenergy, and sustainable materials. ORSL will contribute its expertise in anaerobic digestion, biogas/CBG production, organic waste management, and commercial-scale waste-to-value solutions.

Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Manju Tanwar, Head of ORS-RIC, said:

“We are honoured to be part of this esteemed international network. Collaborating with the University of Southern Denmark, IIT Mumbai, and our Thai partners reinforces ORSL’s commitment to advancing global circular bioeconomy innovation. This project creates opportunities for technology exchange, joint research, and scalable industrial applications that will benefit farmers, industries, and the environment.”
