G E Shipping Contracts Sale of Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier Jag Aarati

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has entered into an agreement to sell its 2011-built Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier, Jag Aarati, with a carrying capacity of about 80,324 deadweight tonnes (dwt). The sale agreement was signed on December 18, 2025, with an unaffiliated third-party buyer. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the new owner in Q4 FY26.

Following this transaction, G E Shipping’s owned fleet stands at 40 vessels, comprising 26 tankers—including six crude oil tankers, 16 product tankers, and four LPG carriers—and 14 dry bulk carriers, consisting of two Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax, and two Supramax vessels. The total fleet capacity aggregates to 3.32 million dwt.

The company also noted that it has contracted to sell one Suezmax crude tanker, with the transaction expected to be completed in Q3 FY26. In addition, G E Shipping has agreed to acquire one secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, with delivery anticipated in Q4 FY26.
