Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals bags Rs 46.2-crore Solar Pump EPC Order from MSEDCL

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for EPC contracts related to Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) under the MTSKPY / PM-KUSUM scheme in Maharashtra.

The total order value stands at ?46.20 crore (excluding GST) and involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 2,000 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems with PV modules across various locations in the state.

The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is required to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) or work order. The company clarified that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.

The empanelment strengthens Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals’ presence in the renewable energy and solar irrigation segment, aligned with the government’s push for sustainable agriculture and clean energy adoption under the PM-KUSUM initiative.
