IL&FS Transportation Networks gets Rs 1.77 Crore GST Demand Notice

IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd has informed that it has received a demand notice under Section 73 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Ghaziabad Sector-4, Uttar Pradesh.

The demand notice, dated and received on December 30, 2025, pertains to an outstanding GST liability for the financial year 2021–22. The total amount demanded, including applicable interest and penalty, aggregates to Rs 1,77,07,511.

The company stated that the notice has been issued on account of alleged non-payment of GST liability for FY 2021–22. IL&FS Transportation Networks said it is currently reviewing the demand notice and is assessing the appropriate next steps in the matter.

The company further clarified that there is no material impact on its financial position, operations, or other business activities arising from the receipt of the notice.
