Tarun Garg appointed MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India from January 1, 2026

Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Thursday announced that Tarun Garg has officially taken over as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) with effect from January 1, 2026.

This marks a historic milestone for the company, as Tarun Garg becomes the first Indian national to lead Hyundai Motor India since its inception 29 years ago. Hyundai Motor India is the Indian subsidiary of South Korea-based auto major Hyundai Motor Company.

He succeeds Unsoo Kim, who will return to Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea, to take on a strategic role.
