Maruti Suzuki India Limited on Friday announced the commencement of exports of its premium SUV VICTORIS. The company said over 450 units have already been shipped from Mundra Port and Pipavav Port to global markets.
The SUV will be retailed internationally under the name ‘Across’. Designed as a modern, future-ready SUV, VICTORIS blends advanced technology with premium comfort and contemporary styling. The Made-in-India model has demonstrated strong global safety credentials, securing a 5-star rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP, and was also showcased to international audiences at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.
Commenting on the export milestone, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the company’s export strategy is driven by the vision of “Make in India, Make for the World.” He noted that in calendar year 2025, Maruti Suzuki exported over 3.9 lakh vehicles, emerging as India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. The year also marked the company’s re-entry into Europe with the export of its first battery electric vehicle, e VITARA.
Highlighting export growth, Takeuchi said that between CY2020 and CY2025, while the overall industry’s passenger vehicle exports grew 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki’s exports expanded by 4.67 times. He added that the introduction of VICTORIS to international markets is expected to further strengthen the company’s export ambitions and global presence.
