Kotak Mahindra Bank Q3 net profit up 4.28% at Rs 3446.14 cr

The bank reported standalone net profit of Rs 3,446.14 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 3304.80 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-yearÿgrowthÿof 4.28 per cent.

Interest income of the bank rose by 3.54 per cent at Rs 13903.25 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 as against Rs 13427.58 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During the October-December quarter, total income rose marginally by 4.30 per cent to Rs 16,741.05 crore from Rs 16,050.38 crore in the year ago period.

Meanwhile, operating expenses increased by 4.53 per cent to Rs 11,361.28 crore from Rs 10,869.37 crore in the same period last year.

Operating profit surged 3.84 per cent to Rs 5,379.77 crore from Rs. 5,181.01 crore.

Provisions and Contingencies surged by 1.95 per cent at Rs 809.58 crore from Rs 794.11 crore a year ago.

NII, the difference between interest earned on loans and interest paid on deposits, increased by 5.12 per cent at Rs 7,564.57 crore versus Rs 7,196.25 crore in the year ago period. Non-interest income rose 8.20 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2,837.80 crore.

On the asset side, gross non- performing assets (NPAs)ÿfellÿto 1.30 per cent of the gross advances as at the end of December 31, 2025 from a level of 1.50 per cent year earlier. Its net NPAs or bad loans tooÿdeclinedÿto 0.31 per cent of net advances on December 31, 2025 from 0.41 per cent a year ago.
