Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd bags Rs 68.91 cr Assam riverbank protection contract

Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 68.91 crore for executing riverbank protection works under the Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project in Assam.

The contract has been awarded by the Water Resources Department Assam under a government-led initiative supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The scope of work includes both underwater and above-water riverbank protection measures across the Jorhat subproject, covering the districts of Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat.

The project will be executed in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, with a completion timeline of 30 months. The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity, and the company confirmed that it does not fall under related-party transactions or involve any promoter group interest.

The contract win is expected to strengthen the company’s order book and enhance its presence in flood management and infrastructure protection projects.
