Sigma Advanced Systems has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Indrajaal Drone Defence to supply critical radar and electronic warfare subsystems that will power Indrajaal’s counter-drone solutions. The collaboration is expected to generate contracts worth nearly Rs 250 crore in the first year and establishes Sigma as the exclusive supplier of mission-critical technologies for Indrajaal’s counter-unmanned aerial systems (UAS) platforms.
The agreement brings together Sigma’s three decades of defence engineering and manufacturing expertise with Indrajaal’s strength in system integration and deployment, creating a fully indigenous counter-drone technology stack built around radar, sensing, jamming, and spoofing capabilities.
Through Sigma’s established European operations via Nasmyth Group, the partnership will also open pathways for Indrajaal to access the European Union and NATO defence markets, significantly expanding its international footprint.
Founded in 1994, Sigma has developed a comprehensive defence electronics platform spanning mission-critical design, embedded systems, high-reliability manufacturing, and lifecycle support. Its systems are already deployed across key Indian defence programmes, supporting missile platforms, avionics, naval systems, and tactical reconnaissance radars.
Under the partnership, Sigma will continue designing and manufacturing advanced radar and electronic warfare technologies, while Indrajaal will integrate these into its counter-drone platforms for deployment across defence and critical infrastructure. Both companies said the collaboration strengthens India’s push for self-reliant, IP-led defence technologies and enhances the country’s ability to develop scalable, indigenous solutions in the fast-growing counter-drone segment.
