Exicom inaugurates integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad

Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad to scale production of EV charging and critical power solutions.

Built with an investment of Rs 216 crore, the facility spans 18.4 acres with a built-up area of 2,80,000 sq ft and will increase the company’s production capacity by 2.5 times in Phase I, while generating over 750 jobs.

The plant will support the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions used in electric mobility, telecom networks, data centres, and other mission-critical infrastructure.

Designed around Industry 4.0 principles, the facility incorporates advanced automation, robotics, digital traceability systems, and an ISO-8 cleanroom environment for precision manufacturing of advanced power electronics. It also includes specialised testing infrastructure and plans to establish India’s first EV charger interoperability testing centre.

The facility will also manufacture Tritium’s TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules and is certified to global standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.

Commenting on the development, Anant Nahata, CEO and MD of Exicom, said the facility combines precision manufacturing, advanced automation, and rigorous testing, enabling the company to scale innovation and production while maintaining high quality standards.

The plant also incorporates sustainability features, including 40% green cover, a 1 MW rooftop solar plant, rainwater harvesting systems, and a sewage treatment facility, and has been designed to meet IGBC Green Building certification standards.
